Cavendish Primary School

Welcome to Cavendish Primary School

We are delighted to welcome you to the Cavendish Primary School website, where pupils are at the heart of all that we do. We are a 2-form entry school for children aged 4 to 11, located to the east of the city of Hull.

We pride ourselves on providing a caring and nurturing environment where pupils experience high quality provision in a safe, welcoming and vibrant school. The driving force behind all that happens at Cavendish is our shared vision of every child enjoying access to a stimulating and engaging education, developing both academically and socially and leaving us as life long, independent learners.

We are very proud of our school, our children and their achievements. Pupils are well behaved, have a very positive attitude and enjoy coming to school. There are excellent relationships between staff, pupils and parents. Our school benefits from the quality of its partnership with parents who are encouraged to take a full and active part in all aspects of their child’s school life.

"Parents and carers are positive about the school. They feel that their children are safe, happy and making good progress. They are informed about the progress that their children are making. Staff are approachable and respond well to concerns" Ofsted May 2023

We believe that education is about the whole child and we see the children at our school as individuals who all have the potential for excellence. As a school we pride ourselves on striving to provide fantastic teaching and learning in an inclusive environment. We provide a broad, exciting and creative curriculum that makes learning engaging and meaningful, enabling high standards of achievement and progress for all, setting our children off on their learning journey for life in modern Britain.

Our Curriculum Priorities

1. Aspiration – we aim to provide a wide range of experiences which challenge children but also demonstrate the wide range of possibilities available for their future.
2. Initiative - we aim to offer experiences which help them to become independent and resourceful learners.
3. Engagement – we aim to provide rich and varied experiences both in and out of school.
4. Citizenship – we aim to help our pupils value their environment and peers and understand their responsibilities within our school and beyond.

At Cavendish you will find a happy and caring atmosphere where positive attitudes and achievements are celebrated and where children are supported in developing as confident, self-reliant, independent learners who are motivated to achieve their full potential. Pupils, parents, staff and Governors take pride in our school and are confident that as adults, our children will look back on their time here as happy and successful.

At Cavendish we:

Respect, Grow, Believe, Achieve

Empowering and Inspiring lifelong learners to achieve a better tomorrow!
